Amazing electro wave, synth pop from Noble Savage, "Leap Into Shade"
It's been more than two months since "Leap Into Shade" has been released, and although we hadn't find out about it since lately, we, currently, just play it on repeat.
"Leap Into Shade" is the new single from the Los Angeles based project of the director, screenwriter and musician, Hari Sama, Noble Savage. It is his second track released on September 3rd. "Leap Into Shade" is being built on strong beats, electro tunes "playing" with post-punk attitudes. Addictive synths coming in, which makes its rhythm getting into your head.
Vocals are clearly influenced by early post-punk, new wave sounds, but there is an interesting turn in the chorus, where the cold anger mood is taken over by the warmness of Jimmy Somerville-influenced lines. Excellent track combining these ambiences into one world and under a beautiful electro, synthwave, dark pop with post-punk origins.
"Leap Into Shade" is expressing the difficulty of someone to fit in while being free, being himself, and not trying or pretending to be someone else. NOBLE SAVAGE emerges in a young scene that takes the sounds of 80s electronic underground (cold wave, dark wave, synth pop) and transforms them into something new, fresh and powerful. But since NOBLE SAVAGE also participated in the underground of the 80s, in music and in performance, NOBLE SAVAGE is a new manifestation of something that was already in his genes. It takes the deep shadows of his baritone voice and the ostinati of the dark wave and adds a pinch of hi-NRG in the style of Bronski Beat.
An impossible mixture-but one that’s achieved perfectly in the universe of a thousand masks.
