Drop remixes Sybreed's cover on Tears For Fears' "Shout"

Drop, guitarist in Samael and MXD, and former composer, guitarist, and keyboardist in Sybreed, Obsydians, Messergeist, and The Way Through turns Sybreed's cover on "Shout" into a dark electro, EBM club hit!

With this remix of Sybreed’s cover of "Shout" Drop takes an already bold reinterpretation and drags it deeper into the circuitry of dystopia. What was once a synth-pop anthem of emotional release becomes a searing, pulse-driven descent into mechanized angst. This is a reconstruction, a total immersion into Drop’s world of melodic brutality and industrial precision.

Where Sybreed’s cover injected "Shout" with weight and modern aggression, Drop dials that energy into a new frequency, delivering punishing EBM beats with cinematic synth layers and a brooding, metallic feeling. The result is a track that feels as much like a descent into inner disturbance as it does a pass across a futuristic wasteland.

Each element is precisely placed, metallic percussion crashes like strong machinery, thick basslines pulse with raw intent, and the melodies, though dark, float ghostlike over the dark atmosphere, evoking the emotional power of the original. There’s still a sense of vulnerability here, but it’s wrapped in armor, and delivered with mechanical clarity.

Drop’s production experience is on full display, while unmistakable. The sound design is detailed and the track moves with the tight control of someone who’s spent thousands of hours building sonic experiences.

Sybreed's "Shout" (Tears For Fears Cover - Drop's EBM Remix) becomes a cold, hypnotic song for a digital age on the edge, where you dance through in the dark with a  heart pounding.

"Drop is a metal and electronic music producer, guitarist in Samael and MXD, and former composer, guitarist, and keyboardist in SybreedObsydiansMessergeist, and The Way Through.

Whether sculpting soundscapes for his own bands or reimagining tracks through remixing, Drop continues to push sonic boundaries."

Drop reshapes Sybreed’s latest cover of Shout by Tears for Fears into a dark, melodic EBM journey. This remix fuses punishing beats and mechanical intensity with sweeping synth layers and haunting atmospheres. Channeling both the angst of the original and the cold precision of industrial electronica. It’s a clash of chaos and melody, where catharsis pulses through the wires of a dystopian dancefloor."
