"The Abyss" by Ruin The Mind & Control I'm Here is a powerful industrial, hard electro track!

"The Abyss" is one of the four tracks that compose the"Judgement Day" collaborative EP of Control I'm Here and Ruin The Mind, released on June 18th via Hush Ltd. "The Abyss" depicts the lust for revenge and plunges into a dark, intense soundscape. The song establishes a relentless, driving beat that sets the tone for its aggressive and immersive feel.

As an industrial song, the production is raw with distorted synths, strong bass lines and intense vocals creating the electrified, haunting atmosphere. The hardstyle electro elements gives a pulsating energy to the track while the strong beats keeps the tempo high. Ruin The Mind adds his own style with the vocals, enhancing the industrial feel. "The Abyss" is, perhaps, the most dance track out of "Judgement Day", since the other three parts of the EP, "Black Heart Emoji", "Judgment Day" and "The Hive" are moving to other paths like industrial rock with heavy bass synths, and mixed rhythms. 

Control I'm Here delivers some dynamic arrangements, quite unpredicted in the EP as a whole, and steady and catchy industrial pop in "The Abyss". Effects used ad an extra layer of depth and intensifies the dark feel of the track.

"The Abyss" is a good blend of industrial and hard electronic elements, depicting the best parts of Ruin The Mind and Control I'm Here collaboration. It's a track with intense production and dark thematic content that contributes to the variety of "Judgement Day" EP.

Control I’m Here is the EBM project of Paul Chenault, member of the Hush Ltd art collective and remix contributor for artists such as Cold Choir, Ex-Hyena, Pleasure Policy, Jackson VanHorn, and Molotov Lust. Control I’m Here produces hard-hitting EBM infused with grooves and atypical genre conventions to bring a fresh perspective to the genre. The new material found on the EP hits deep EBM grooves and offers a new dose of heavy guitar riffage akin to Godflesh.

Ruin The Mind is the musical alter-ego of Ryan Thomas Mitchell, former lead vocalist of trip-hop outfit Denial Waits. As Ruin, he operates with a tongue-in-cheek wit, often exploring subjects like depravity, heartache, and obsession. Previously, Ruin The Mind has been backed by talented producers such as Maduro, The Stave Church, and [EXOR].
