The Prodigal Sons debut singles and EP, "Tears Of Love"
The Prodigal Sons released the debut EP "Tears Of Love" on May 7th!
We listened to the first singles released by The Prodigal Sons, the new project created by Yannis, a musician and songwriter from Greece who has been living in Birmingham, UK, since 2019.
The debut single "Children" is an energizing fusion of indie rock and synth pop that establishes the project’s unique sound. With its infectious, upbeat tempo, "Children" blends the emotional depth of indie rock with the electronic textures of synth wave, creating a refreshing and brooding journey. The production feels both nostalgic and modern, weaving atmospheric synths with driving bass lines. Lyrically, "Children" is a touching reflection on innocence and the bittersweet passage of time. Yannis’s vocals are raw and emotive, carrying the weight of the song’s reflective themes, making it a strong introduction to his multifaceted musical vision.
The title track from The Prodigal Sons’ debut EP, "Tears Of Love," takes a slightly more introspective turn, diving deeper into the world of new wave and synth pop. The track features lush, shimmering synths paired with smooth yet haunting vocals that evoke a sense of melancholy. The production is thorough, with layered sounds that create a dreamy atmosphere, while the lyrics reflect a delicate exploration of emotional vulnerability. This song showcases Yannis's ability to blend electronic textures with organic melodies, making "Tears Of Love" a standout piece in the EP. It’s a beautiful balance of melancholic emotion and infectious rhythm, which will likely captivate fans of both indie and synth-based music.
"Tears Of Love" debut EP is completed with three more tracks making the first release of The Prodigal Sons a really good introduction of Yannis approach to the sound of new wave, synth and indie rock. The songs that accompanies the first two singles are "Circle", "Child Of War (Deep In The Sea)", and "Soul Fire"
