Bootblacks releases new single, "Forbidden Flames"
New single "Forbidden Flames" marks the return of Bootblacks!
Brooklyn based, synthesized post-punk trio returns with the all new, magnificent single, "Forbidden Flames". Bootblacks had been quite, regarding to releases, for a while now, and since the release of their last full length album "Thin Skies", back in 2020. The time has come for the dark romantic post-punk sound, coming straight out of the urban landscapes of New York, to be revealed and Bootblacks returns with another post-punk hit single.
"Forbidden Flames" will take you to trip between darkness and light, making your body following the melodies that changes between the synths an the sharp guitar chords. All built upon the silky, catchy, post-punk beats and tempo, and the sensual vocals of Panther Almqvist, creates a melodic, modern dark sound which carries the energy of their town and leaves a sweet emotion!
"Forbidden Flames" comes with a new remix on the track "Inextinguishable" (Mannhunter Remix).
Bootblacks formed back in 2010 and the current line up is Panther Almqvis on vocals, Barrett Hiatt on synths and Kalle Fagerberg on guitars. Bootblacks' sound is characterized by its brooding and atmospheric melodies, driving rhythms, and emotive vocals. The band draws inspiration from the post-punk and darkwave movements of the 1980s, but also incorporates contemporary elements of electronic music into their sound.
