Starting from and industrial dark electro background the band have found themselves writing more 80's goth inspired tracks, with elements of post-punk, dark wave and grunge, making what the like to call, death pop.

Corlyx invites you to explore their sonic tapestry with "Wasted And Alone"! Get ready to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing world of Death Pop as Corlyx, the eclectic power duo, prepares to release their latest sonic audio-visual experience, "Wasted And Alone".

Caitlin Stokes of Corlyx shares her inspiration for "Wasted And Alone": "You ever have the worst night out because you're too stupid to handle your liquor? This is the story of that time for me; I think many of us can relate. Ultimately, I think this behavior is entwined with self-sabotage. We take these risks, we hurt ourselves in the name of fun, it is so isolating and bleak…but we often go back for more, a cycle we can only break once we heal the wounds that drive us to these vices."

"Wasted & Alone is a trip back to our destructive self-sabotage past. Both Brandon and I were teenage druggies; we had a lot of trauma to unpack before we were capable of taking better care of ourselves. This song doesn't glorify substance abuse. It's the acknowledgment of our very real and human coping mechanisms. We party, we isolate, we numb, we were all young and sad once."

Blending seamlessly influences of 80's post-punk, 90's grunge, and modern dark wave, Corlyx delivers a captivating, nostalgic, and cutting-edge sound. Corlyx pushes musical boundaries and captivates audiences worldwide. The music video is directed and edited by Caitlin and is a visual journey that complements the song's haunting atmosphere.

Corlyx Live is:
