Dawn Of Ashes strike back with "Penumbra", featuring Suicide Commando!
When two super bands of the dark electro-industrial scene join hands, the result is a haunting soundscape, with dark, electrifying power!. Dawn Of Ashes has just unleashed their latest single, "Penumbra", a high energy collaboration featuring the legendary Suicide Commando. Released on January 23rd via Metropolis Records, "Penumbra" lands as the opening to the new chapter for Dawn Of Ashes and their upcoming full-length album, "Anatomy Of Suffering"! New LP is set for release on March 20th and it will establish the return to aggro, electronic roots for the Californians.
While Kristof Bathory has spent much of the last decade into the dark landscape of the blackened metal and symphonic horror, "Penumbra" comes to confirm this long-expected, vicious homecoming that started with "Infecting The Scars". Bathory himself describes the new single as "a channel for the raw intensity of the early '00s dark electro-industrial scene".
The collaboration with Johan Van Roy (Suicide Commando) seems like the circle is completed and Dawn Of Ashes has returned to the beginning with a mew perspective and more mature than ever. The hard-hitting beats echo this aggressive nostalgia, while sound highlights the development from Bathory’s recent relocation to Denmark. All these elements create the atmosphere that perfectly sets the stage for the new album.
The single arrives on the eve of an "Acts Of Destruction" tour of the US west coast by Dawn Of Ashes that commences in Los Angeles, the city where the group was founded by Kristof Bathory at the turn of the millennium.
