Mayflower Madame returns with a new album on November 1st and "Paint It All In Blue" came with a beautiful video!

"Paint It All In Blue" is the second taster from Norwegian band Mayflower Madame’s highly anticipated third album "Insight", out on November 1st via Night Cult Records/ Up In Her Room/Icy Cold Records.

“Paint It All In Blue” is the second single the duo released prior to the album and following the beautiful "A Foretold Ecstasy". The song is a hypnotic blend of post-punk edge, shoegaze haze, and psychedelic layers, offering a darkly captivating sonic experience.

Trond Fagernes’ deep, echoing vocals float over a rich backdrop of silky and polished  guitars and pulsating rhythms, featuring Rune Øverby's guitar work which is amplifying the track’s bitter and harsh atmosphere. The inclusion of Kenneth Eknes' synths lends an immense depth, creating a soundscape that feels both haunting and ethereal. Ola J. Kyrkjeeide’s drumming holds a steady pulse, grounding the song’s dreamlike and psychedelia quality.

The accompanying video by Astrid Serck complements the track perfectly, with its surreal collage animations and symbolic imagery evoking a mystical, expressionist mood. The visuals enhance the track’s ethereal energy, blurring the lines between reality and dream. As a second taste of Mayflower Madame's upcoming album Insight, “Paint It All In Blue” teases a unique release filled with somber, atmospheric inspiration.

Over the past years, Mayflower Madame have gained a reputation far beyond their hometown of Oslo, Norway. Following the release of their debut album 'Observed in a Dream' in 2016, which received rave reviews and earned them tours across Europe and North America, their 2020 sophomore album 'Prepared for a Nightmare' firmly established their position as one of the continent’s leading purveyors of cinematic psych-gaze swathed in 1980s dark romanticism.   

In 2022, the band returned to touring the UK and Europe, while last year it focused on writing and recording new music and releasing a Deluxe Version of Prepared for a Nightmare containing 5 new bonus tracks.   

Their upcoming album has been mixed and mastered by renowned Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, The Vacant Lots). It will be released digitally via their label Night Cult Records (Norway), on vinyl via Up In Her Room (UK) and on CD via Icy Cold Records (France).  

Mayflower Madame is Trond Fagernes (vocals, guitar, bass) and Ola J. Kyrkjeeide (drums). On studio recordings, they are joined by Kenneth Eknes (synths). "Paint It All in Blue" also features Rune Øverby (guitar).
