Epsom Salts delivers the furious "Burning Memory"

"Burning Memory" by Epsom Salts ignites with raw intensity, blending the chaotic energy of post-punk with the abrasive edge of noise rock.

Epsom Salts are Shea (vocals), Robin (drums), Jake (guitar) and Kristian (bass), joining forces in summer 2022 to join Brighton's music melting pot with a fire-fuelled love for DIY.  "Burning Memory" comes with pure energy, emotions and anger. Shea's vocals are a visceral force, balancing between haunting whispers and guttural cries, capturing the emotional weight of the lyrics. Drumming is relentless, driving the track forward with jagged rhythms that refuse to let up. Guitar work is jagged and distorted, layering the song with walls of feedback and unpredictable shifts in tone. And then is the bassline that grounds the chaos, adding a dark groove that ties this sound experience. "Burning Memory" feels both rough and intentional, reflecting the band's DIY approach. "Burning Memory" is a gritty force, evoking feelings of disorientation and defiance.

"Burning Memory" is taken out of the upcoming compilation album by Brighton's label Small Pond, titled "Small Pond Presents: Emerging Vol. 4" , set for release on 15th November 2024 on a limited vinyl pressing and all good digital service providers.

Through their disjointed noise and playful experimentalism, Epsom Salts have crafted a beguiling fusion of noise rock, punk, and hardcore, trashing genre boundaries and honing in on a sound that is uniquely theirs. Since 2021, the quartet have blasted their noisy chaos around the Brighton venue circuit, and continue to push for ways to diversify and enhance their music with technicality and attitude.

In their short lifespan, Epsom Salts have shared stages with ‘ones to watch’ including Soul Glo, Don't Try, Meth and The Oozes, plus local legends Jar of Blind Flies, Electric Cowboy Club and How Long You Been Driving. With the remainder of 2024 jam-packed with live shows, the outfit plan to leap around the UK and across to Mainland Europe for the first time, as they strive to make themselves an undeniable prospect.

The band will be appearing live supporting Norwich cult faves Other Half at the Hope and Ruin on 21st September, and will also appear at the Emerging Vol. 4 album launch party at Green Door Store, Brighton on 16th November alongside tracklist-stablemates could be ghosts, whose single ‘sutures’ was released last month.
