"We Look Like You" is a dark synth-pop single from Sci-Fi Republik.
"We Look Like You" is blending analog synth textures with sci-fi-inspired post-punk aesthetics. The vintage drum machines and layered synths create a rich, retro-futuristic soundscape that feels coming from analogue times and nostalgic. Jennifer Humphreys’ haunting vocals provide a perfect contrast to D.A. Sebastian's brooding side, adding depth and tension.
"We Look Like You" creates an atmosphere steeped in mystery, expressing and showing themes of separation and identity through its eerie melodies. Goldi SinClaire’s contributions on additional vocals and keyboards add layers of twist, rounding out the trio’s cohesive sound. The interplay between analog warmth and sharp, icy tones creates a somber abience in Sci-Fi Republik's sound.
"We Look Like You" feels a little bit cinematic, like coming out of the soundtrack of a dystopian sci-fi film. An official video for "We Look Like you" is coming up this March while in 2025 Sci-Fi Republik will release their debut album.
