Cold Meridian - Adrenaline Fire, modern post-punk on old school lines
Cold Meridian released "Andrenaline Fire" blending the gothic rock ambience with the post-punk sharpness!
Cold Meridian is a gothic rock/post-punk project hailing from Scotland and formed from former Shatterhand members, Dave McIntosh, Stuart McIntosh, and Mike Crawford. "Andrenaline Fire" is the bands latest single release, including the S/T track and a really beautiful view of Sisters Of Mercy's classic, "Alice".
"Andenaline Fire" comes with some raw post-punk energy, inspired from classic anthems of the genre and transformed into a modern dark, gothic rock sound, including really good lyrical parts, strong guitars that balance between gloomy distortion and sharp chords. If you look deep into Cold Meridian's, "Andrenaline Fire" you will see the influences of The Chameleons, The Killing Joke, or even Editors, combined into a dark rock path that could easily fit into a hard rock/alternative soundscape!
"Using the bleak industrial backdrop of Central Scotland to help define their nihilistic dystopia-core sound, Cold Meridian crawl from the cracks in the oil soaked scorched earth and create a soundtrack to a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by war and disease"
Cold Meridian comments on "Andrenaline Fire": "Adrenaline Fire moves on from the band's Debut Full Length release from 2022 "In The Absence Of All Hope" which was a dark, brooding, dystopian, Post Punk cinematic record. Adrenaline Fire has an altogether more energetic, angular, Editor's feel and sees the band add a real edge to their sound. Formed from the ashes of Punk Rock road warriors Shatterhand, with this single Cold Meridian move closer to their roots and channel some of that punk energy into their distictly goth/post-punk sound."
