Today's Sound: Scary Black - Transatlantic Tears
Scary Black unveils the new single, "Transatlantic Tears"!
Scary Black is the project of multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Albie Mason hailing from Louisville, Kentucky. With a sound based on some gothic rock roots Scary Black has already released two beautiful full length albums, back in 2019, the debut "Shadow Dwellers" and the amazing "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?".
Albie Mason has manged to create a sound based on old school goth rock and post-punk melodies putting his mark on the way he arranges things and combined with strong synth and bass lines. The dark atmosphere is completed by his deep emotional vocals.
"Transatlantic Tears" is the third single since his latest album, "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?" and the live album, "SCARY BLACK Live At Fascination Street", released in digital format on April 7th.
"Transatlantic Tears" goes deeper into Albie's electro-goth, cold synths side with a beautiful synth melody coming after the bass intro and leading to some deep, romantic vocals and the guitar riffs that sounds like razors. A song about love and pain.
