Death Disco Indoor Festival 2024

Two days full of the most beloved bands of the modern - and not only - dark alternative scene. Saturday, November 30, 2024 and Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Fuzz Live Music Club.

The first Death Disco Indoor Festival is a fact! Having the experience of a shocking open air festival in the summer of 2023 at Technopolis, Municipality of Athens, the Death Disco team is not only preparing for the strong come back of the open air festival in 2025, but in the meantime, it moves to the indoor space of Fuzz Live Music Club and presents two days full of our most beloved bands of the modern - and not only - dark alternative scene.

With headliners the great darkwave / post punk revelation of recent years and one of the greatest unsatisfied desires of the Greek audience, Twin Tribes from Texas (US), and the constant at the top of EBM / Industrial music, Suicide Commando from Belgium, Death Disco has prepared an event that will be the concert event of the year for lovers of the dark scene again this year.

TWIN TRIBES

Twin Tribes will make their first ever appearance in Greece on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Having released perhaps the best album of the year (Pendulum) and with the success of the single “Monolith” - which is constantly heard in all dark clubs - accompanying them, their upcoming concert is eagerly awaited.
Twin Tribes was formed in Texas in 2017 by Luis Navarro (vocals, guitar, synth, drum machines) and Joel Niño, Jr. (bass, synth, vocals) and after countless live shows around the world and four masterpiece albums, they are considered the heroes of the modern darkwave / goth movement alongside bands such as She Past Away and Lebanon Hanover.
First time in Greece and best album of the year. And these are more than enough to characterize the appearance of Twin Tribes at Death Disco Indoor Fest 2024 as the most looking forward dark / goth concert of this year.

SUICIDE COMMANDO

There are not many such emblematic figures in EBM / industrial music as that of the Belgian Johan Van Roy. He began experimenting with electronic music in 1986 and two years later began releasing cassettes under the name Suicide Commando. Until the German label Off Beat discovered him and since then everything is history. Songs like "See You in Hell", "Desire", "Hellraiser", "Love Breads Suicide", "Bind Torture Kill", "Cause of Death: Suicide", "Die Motherfucker Die", "God is in the Rain", became dance floor hits in underground clubs all over the world and Suicide Commando became the most important band in EBM / Industrial / Aggrotech music.
On stage, Johan Van Roy is accompanied by Torben Schmidt (another huge story, I briefly mention Lights of Euphoria and Infacted Recordings) on keyboards and Mario Vaerewijck on drums, while what steals the show is Johan's endless energy and the impressive video projections that accompany each track individually. See you in Hell, then, on Sunday, December 1, 2024!

ULTRA SUNN

Ultra Sunn was formed in 2019 by frontman and multi-instrumentalist Sam Huge and keyboardist and producer Gaelle Souflet, while percussionist and keyboardist Alexis Andrigo joined the band just this year. They have released 3 EPs (Night Is Mine, Body Electric, Kill Your Idols) with which they have achieved international recognition and just a few months ago it was time for their first LP (Us). “It is absolutely clear that Ultra Sunn are here to stay and set even more dance floors on fire! They are at the top of the genre!” wrote Turn up the Volume and this is simply indicative of the universal acceptance that Ultra Sunn have had from the “dark scene” in these few years of their presence in things.
Ultra Sunn, following in the footsteps of the great bands of the genre (Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, A Split Second, etc.), are one of the hottest acts in contemporary EBM / New Beat music. They made their debut in Athens last year with Idles at the Plissken Festival and we are very happy that they will be participating in Death Disco Indoor Fest 2024 this year!

LINEA ASPERA

Linea Aspera were formed in London in 2011 by singer Zoè Zanias (born Alison Lewis) and synth mastermind Ryan Ambridge. They released their self-titled debut album in 2012 on the Dark Entries label, and although this album automatically propelled them to the forefront of modern darkwave, they disbanded just a year later. Zoe then formed Keluar with Sid Lamar of Schwefelgelb and immediately focused on her personal project, Zanias. In 2019, with a simple Facebook announcement ("Hey, we're back!"), Linea Aspera announced that they were reactivating, releasing the LP "Preservation Bias" the same year and "Linea Aspera II" a year later.
Zoe Zanias is one of the most beloved acts of Death Disco, having organized concerts with all the bands she has created over time (Linea Aspera, Keluar, Zanias). We are particularly happy that on her mini tour with Linea Aspera (the most emblematic of her projects) she will make a stop at Death Disco Indoor Fest 2024 to prove once again that she is perhaps the most talented artist in contemporary music and Linea Aspera is one of the beautiful bands that have come through the dark scene in the last 15 years!

DIORAMA

Diorama is one of the most well-known electro goth bands of the last 25 years. On Sunday, December 1st, their core Torben Wendt and Felix Marc will be present at the Fuzz club for a unique electronic set!
They started in 1996 as a personal project of Torben Wendt. Their music was quickly recognized by Adrian Hates of Diary of Dreams and with his support the debut album "Pale" was released in 1999. A year later Felix Marc joined the band with whom the band acquired a more rhythmic direction that translated in the following years into some top Synthpop / EBM albums and all time club hits such as "advance", "her liquid arms", "child of entertainment", "synthesize me" etc.

TRAITRS

Traitrs have been around since the mid-10's and on Saturday, November 30, 2024, the day that Twin Tribes will be the headliners, they will make their first appearance in Greece. They have released two excellent albums and several singles / ep’s, have toured worldwide alongside bands such as VNV Nation, She Past Away, Twin Tribes etc. and with the reputation of an excellent live band accompanying them (a reputation that we confirmed ourselves at last year’s WGT festival) we can’t wait to welcome them for the first time in Athens!

Traitrs is a band based in Toronto, Canada and consists of Sean-Patrick Nolan and Shawn Tucker. They formed in 2015 as a studio project and soon under the guidance of producer Josh Korody (Dilly Dally, Beliefs, Moon King, Fucked Up) they began experimenting with their sound adding goth and post punk influences that refer to Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus and Pornography era Cure to their early minimal recordings. Add to the recipe vocals that are so, so reminiscent of Robert Smith and you understand why they stole our hearts in no time.

DORIC

Doric is the one-man project of Stathis Leontiadis (Data Fragments, The Exetix, Human Puppets etc.) created from his obsessive love for all-analogue methodology, new wave aesthetics and the D.I.Y. ethos. Discographically, he started in 2013 on the Greek Fabrika Records and now has in his CV one 7’’, two 10’’ and three LP’s, on well-known European labels. His music is characterized by a darkly dynamic and now recognizable, multi-layered electronic sound, which opened doors for him in Europe, with memorable appearances as a headliner throughout Europe!

THE MAN & HIS FAILURES

Having released an EP and some excellent singles such as "Lethe", "Devastations" and "Nothing", The Man & His Failures, with their unique EBM / Industrial / Synth sound (which is now rare in the local scene) and their frequent and intense live performances, have established themselves in the Greek alternative scene in recent years. They started in 2018 as a solo project of Manos Karakatsanis and soon with the addition of Alekos Sorros and Dimitris Vlassopoulos they evolved into a complete band. Manos Karakatsanis, in addition to The Man & His Failures and his presence in other musical groups such as Asylum Promises and Mani Deum, is one of the most prominent members of the Athenian scene with countless DJ sets and concert events.
