Night In Athens revealed new melancholic, dark electronic single, "Requiem Mécanique", released on October 2nd, 2026.

"Requiem Mécanique" is out via Artoffact Records and it is the first glimpse of NIA's new album, to be released in early 2027. The new single and its soinc ambience delivers a beautiful electronic track that explores memory, vanishing, and loss through a brilliant mix of cold machinery and emotional warmth.

Musically, the song is built around sparse, chilling synthesizer lines and classic, analogue 808 drum machine rhythms. This blend of elements creates a moody darkwave and coldwave atmosphere that balances between old and modern sounds. These sharp, rhythmic beats give space and highlights the soft, eerie vocals that give the song a deeply human, vulnerable core, contrasting nicely with the mechanical soundscape.

The clever use of sound builds "Requiem Mécanique" into a masterful arrangement. The intro features an old radio voice sample from a 1958 documentary titled "Have I Told You Lately that I Love You". This vintage vocal piece blends smoothly into the modern electronic background, creating an excellent connection between past and present

Mixed, mastered, and recorded at Fabrika Music Studio, "Requiem Mécanique" features a clean sound design. Every instrument is well layered and ithas its own space in the mix, allowing the cold, post-punk rhythms and lines balance perfectly with the emotional, warm vocal melodies. Night In Athes delivers not only a moody, dark song for the dancefloors but also an energetic, catchy track that is created for repeated listens.
