German synthpop duo Caput Medusae new single "Schwarzschild"!
With “Schwarzschild”, the German duo Caput Medusae release a dark and atmospheric synthpop track. Caput Medusae consists of Tina Mar and Stefan Scott.
The new single comes as the title track of the duo'sr upcoming space-themed mini-album (releasing February 19, 2026), "Schwarzschild" is inspired by space and the idea of the point of no return. Cold synthesizers and steady beats create a cinematic and hypnotic mood delivering a mysterious, tense and storong emotions at the same time. Analog-style sounds and minimal melodies give o "Schwarzschild" a classic retro feeling.
Music-wise, “Schwarzschild” balances between Synthpop, Darkwave, and Electropop. Images and soundscapes of early Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, or John Foxx fill the sonic path of "Schwarzschild", while Tina and Stefan makes these retro influences sound really fresh and modern. The vocals are deep, with a sense of roboticness and quite distant, with a contrast created beween male and female vocals and the switch between English and German language. An approach, fitting perfectly to the space theme. which, along with the melody, take us deeper into its orbit.
The sci-fi music video adds strong visual atmosphere to the song. “Schwarzschild” is the title track of an upcoming space-themed mini-album. It shows that Caput Medusae know how to mix emotion, electronics, and concept. A strong and immersive release for lovers of dark electronic music.
