Another great band announced for next summer. The legendary Alice In Chains will play live in Athens, Greece on June 24th 2019, as they were announced by the organizers of Release Athens Festival.

Alice in Chains remains one of the most influential and successful rock bands of the past decades. Together with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, are Seattle's Big Four in the legendary 90s, it's no exaggeration to say that they've redefined the modern rock map.

Over the last decade their sound remains as exciting, emotional and always characteristic. Jerry Cantrell, one of the greatest and hard-to-beat vocalists and guitarists, continues to vigorously declare their presence on record and stage, living a second "life" and growing up already "die hard" the core of millions of fans.

Over the course of a glorious journey that reaches over 30 years, they have sold more than 20 million records and are still one of the top live acts in major festivals around the world. Their debut "Facelift" (1990) introduced a new sound to the planet - the grunge with clear heavy metal influences - and became the first gold album of the genre and a little later double platinum. The next two albums, "Dirt" (1992) and "Alice In Chains" (1995), together with EPs "Sap" (1992) and "Jar of Flies" (1994), launched them into the ... stratosphere.

The tragic and premature failure of their vocalist Layne Staley in 2002 brought the band to an undetermined break. However, the remaining members, Cantrell, Kinney and Inez, brought the band back to life, against every prediction! With Willian DuVall as the main singer, the 2009 "Black Gives Way To Blue" featured a new audience with "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" (2013) and this year's "Rainier Fog", one of the best albums of the year, reaffirm the status of a big band that is still here!
